The Ghana Football Association today held the maiden edition of an interactive encounter with the media dubbed the GFA Meet the Presse.

The new media program  as explained by GFA President, Kurt E. S.  Okraku, is "to take the GFA to the people through the media."

Today's programme brought together members of the Executive Council, General Secretary and Departmental Heads of the GFA to answer questions from the media on various aspects of the administration of the game.

Before questions were posed by the media, the GFA President made a presentation by taking the media through the Executive Council's three-month journey so far since assuming office in October 2019.

He listed a number of key decisions taken such as appointment of general secretary and national team coaches, discussions held with stakeholders including the Presidents of Ghana  Fifa and CAF, innovations made, as well as various forms of support offered clubs.

Mr. Okraku also spoke extensively on the national teams and a presentation by new Black Stars Coach C.K. Akonnor via video. The coach made an appeal to Ghanaians to rally behind the Black Stars.

The media took turns to ask various questions, and the President  as well as some members of the Executive Council.

The GFA Meet the Press series will be a quarterly media interaction programme where the GFA President, Executive Council Members, the General Secretary, Departmental and Committee heads and other key officials will be present to interact with the media.

After today's maiden edition, the GFA will rotate the Meet the Press Series in other regions of the country to give media organisations and journalists from other parts of the country the opportunity to interact with the GFA.
