Germany insists its players will not direct any anger towards Kevin-Prince Boateng in Wednesday's crucial match against Ghana as the European side expects a difficult game.

Boateng, whose tackle on Michael Ballack in the FA Cup final ruled the German skipper out of the FIFA World Cup has come under attack from German fans since that incident.

And ahead of the final Group D clash at Johannesburg's Soccer City Stadium, Germany manager Oliver Bierhoff has said there will be no vendetta against Ghana midfielder.

"I do not think it would be right for us to use our emotions or feelings and channel them against a single person," Bierhoff said.

"Quite irrespective of who is on the pitch for Ghana, we have to concentrate on the game and avoid being provoked, because we will not be playing against Kevin-Prince Boateng, but against Ghana."

Even though Germany's treatment of Boateng will come under scrutiny, coach Joachim Low is anticipating a tough, physical encounter against the Black Stars.

Low is aware of the task ahead for his team as a defeat to Ghana would mean failure to qualify from the FIFA World Cup group stage for the first time in their history.

Having got off their campaign to a rather good start, beating Australia, the Germans slumped to a shock defeat to Serbia and are now dreading the prospect of another loss. Only a win will guarantee the Germans a place in the Round of 16.

"Ghana are fast and can play well on the counter, they don't shy away from one-to-one duels as they are strong, they have players who can put in fantastic sprints," said the German coach.

"The general tempo against Ghana will be higher than Serbia, the Serbs were a bit slow out of the blocks and they had a draw in mind with only one forward.

"It will be quicker, but fitness is written with a capital 'F' in the Germany squad and we can cope with it."
