Ghana and Nigeria finally get the chance to renew their rivalry tonight at the Vicarage Road Stadium after their earlier fixture was called off at the last minute.

Both sides will head into the game with contrasting fortunes after the final day of 2012 Nations Cup qualifying with Ghana earning their spot while Nigeria failed to qualify.

The game kicks off at 19:00 GMT (7:00PM) and it wraps up a busy international break for both sides.

But either side will be looking to put that behind them in the re-arranged friendly international as Ghana coach Goran Stevanovic stresses the importance of winning every game.

“There is the pressure to field a good team always. Every game is important.

“Nigeria is very important. Players must understand that they must not lose any game,” the Ghana coach said as he leads the Black Stars into his first meeting against Nigeria.

The last friendly game between both sides saw Ghana thump the Super Eagles 4-1 back in 2007.

Both sides were scheduled to have played a friendly on August 9 but hours before kick off, the game was called off due to riots in certain parts of London and England.
