Four outstanding players have been nominated for the NASCO Ghana Premier League Player of the Month award for April/May following their exceptional performances for their respective clubs.
The nominees are Salim Adams of Medeama SC, Richmond Opoku of Young Apostles FC, Augustine Okrah of Bechem United FC, and Seidu Abubakari of Berekum Chelsea FC.
Salim Adams enjoyed an impressive run during the April/May period, scoring five goals in five league matches for Medeama SC. His outstanding performances also earned him two NASCO Player of the Match awards.
Richmond Opoku was equally influential for Young Apostles FC, netting five goals in six league appearances while collecting two NASCO Player of the Match awards. His goals proved vital in helping his side secure their Premier League status, including a brilliant brace against FC Samartex 1996 on the final day of the season.
Veteran forward Augustine Okrah demonstrated his experience and quality by scoring seven goals in six league matches for Bechem United FC — the highest tally among the nominees. He also claimed one NASCO Player of the Match award during the period. One of his standout performances came on Matchday 33 when he scored a sensational brace against Asante Kotoko SC.
Seidu Abubakari played a pivotal role in Berekum Chelsea FC’s strong finish to the campaign, scoring four goals in five league appearances. His impressive form included a brace in their thrilling 3-2 victory over Bechem United FC on Matchday 34.
The winner of the award will receive a 43-inch NASCO television and a NASCO double-door bottom-freezer refrigerator, courtesy of Electroland Ghana Limited, sponsors of the award.
