Ghana would round up on international engagements ahead of the African Cup of Nations with the hosting of a four-nation tournament in November.

The four-day competition which would be played at the Ohene Djan Stadium in Accra and Kumasi’s Baba Yara grounds – two match venues for the 2008 African Cup of Nations – kicks off on November 17 and runs to the 21st.

Two African sides, Guinea and Benin together with Middle-East nation, the United Arab Emirates are the three sides lined up alongside Ghana for the competition which would utilise the days available on the FIFA match roster for international games.

All four sides would play two games apiece as Ghana keep their preparations going for the Cup of Nations.

Guinea have already booked their place for the Nations Cup qualifiers while Benin, third-placed on the table could yet qualify as one of the best runners-up nations.

President of the Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi after announcing the countries for the competition should not be deemed as a low-profile event considering the choice of opponents.

“Our choice of opponents is influenced by various factors. The style of play becomes a major part of the decision making. We have played different teams since we participated in the World Cup and it is geared at giving the team the best form of preparation for impending matches,” the FA President explained.

The tourney would afford Ghana coach, Claude Le Roy, the chance to see his team play and react before an expectant home crowd before the African Cup of Nations kick off on January 20 - February 10.
