The Technical Directorate of the Football Association, in partnership with the Ghana Education Service (GES), will roll out the Football ‘4’ Girls project, an initiative under the GFA Women’s Football Strategy, on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at Kokomlemle Basic 2 School in Accra.

This grassroots programme is a key component of the GFA’s broader strategy to increase girls’ participation in football and promote gender equality in the sport.

It aims to engage young girls between the ages of 6 and 12, introducing them to football in a structured, supportive and inclusive environment.

The event will also involve parents and teachers, focusing on the Education pillar of the Women’s Football Strategy, which addresses common misconceptions about girls playing football and outlines pathways for female players from grassroots to elite levels.

The Football ‘4’ Girls programme seeks to empower and inspire the next generation of female footballers, strengthening the pipeline for women’s football development across Ghana.
