
Ampem Darkoa Ladies and Police ladies win their respective Zones whilst four clubs suffer relegation in Malta Guinness women’s premier league.
Ampem Darkoa Ladies FC finished the Northern Zone as winners after taking a commanding lead from the start of the season.
Police Ladies FC in the Southern Zone also achieved history for the club after clinching the title for the first time. The services ladies went on to defeat Ampem Darkoa Ladies 2:0 in the Championship play off game to emerge the overall Champion of the 2024/25 Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League.
This feat put Police Ladies as sole representative of Ghana in the WAFU B CAF Women’s Champions League qualifier. Dreams Ladies, Northern Ladies, and FC Savannah complete the top four in the Northern Zone. Hasaacas Ladies, Jonina Ladies, and Army Ladies also finished in the top four of the Southern Zone.
Two clubs, each from the Northern and Southern Zones, have been relegated to the lower tier league after finias the bottom clubs of the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League.
Berry Ladies and Faith Ladies have been relegated from the Southern Zone after finishing bottom of the table. Berry Ladies after a bad season amassed 7 points to put them bottom of the table whilst Faith Ladies who despite putting up a good fight to win the Women’s FA Cup finished 9th with 13 points.
Faith Ladies and Halifax Queens finished the season with same points where a playoff was played to decide who stays in the league. Halifax Queens edged Faith Ladies 2:1 in the relegation play off to secure their spot in next season’s league.
In the Northern Zone, Supreme Ladies and Sung Shinning Ladies were the two casualties from the Zone. Sung shinning Ladies in their debut season saw them flirting with relegation from the start of the season. They finished bottom with 8 points whilst Kumasi based Supreme Ladies finished 9th with 18 points.
