Greater Accra’s U15 girls' team is charging into the finals of the Elite U-15 Championship with an unshakable belief and a perfect record, having won all their group-stage matches. Their captain, Aglebe Venunye, is the embodiment of this confidence, expressing both pride in her team's performance and a fierce determination to claim the ultimate prize.
Speaking after her side's impressive run, Captain Venunye was elated. "I'm very happy," she stated, reflecting on the team's five wins in five games. "It has been really helpful because it's always helped us to show our talent. It's a great tournament because it's helping us to show our talent."
However, for Venunye and her squad, the job is not yet finished. The captain’s focus is firmly set on the upcoming final. "I'm looking forward for us to go to the finals and then take the trophy back to Greater Accra," she declared.
This confidence is not without foundation. The team's dominant performance in the group stage, built on a platform of hard work and dedication, has filled them with hope.
"Actually, yes, because seeing our hard work and trainings and then the match that we've played so far, we are very much hopeful to take the trophy back to Greater Accra," Venunye affirmed.
