Participants of the Elite U-15 Boys Championship received an extensive orientation session on Monday, August 25, 2025, at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram, a day before the official kickoff of the tournament. The session, which lasted for about an hour, was aimed at preparing players, coaches, and officials for a smooth and successful competition.

Chairman of the Elite U-15 Committee, Eugene Noel Nobel, who doubles as an Executive Council member of the FA, set the tone with a warm welcome address, urging the teams to embrace discipline, fair play, and sportsmanship throughout the championship. He emphasized the importance of the competition as a pathway for identifying and nurturing future national team stars.

The Deputy Director of the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence, David Alifoe, educated the players and officials on the dos and don’ts of the facility, stressing the need to protect the infrastructure and maintain discipline on and off the pitch. His message was reinforced by Daasebre Adu Asare, RFAs Coordinator, who guided participants through the tournament regulations, ensuring teams were well-informed on the rules governing the competition.

Referees Manager, Alex Kotey, introduced the Catch Them Young Referees, highlighting their role in the tournament and urging teams to respect their decisions as part of the broader referees development agenda.

In line with player welfare, GFA Safeguarding Manager Obed Tuffour shared important safeguarding tips, reminding players and officials about the need to prioritize safety, protection, and respect throughout the tournament.

The session was capped by inspiring words from FIFA Talent Coach Stuart McLaren and FIFA Scout Expert Franklin Shillingford, who both encouraged the young players to give off their best, make the most of the opportunity, and showcase their potential to the world.

The Elite U-15 Boys Championship officially kicks off on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, with participating regional teams and GFA elite academies battling for glory in Ghana’s premier youth development competition.
