One of the proposals that will be laid before Congress of the Ghana Football Association is the idea of having juvenile and reserve matches played before premier league games.

The proposal, if approved by Congress, the highest decision making body of the FA will come into effect in the 2010/2011 football season.

FA President, Kwesi Nyantakyi explains that the Executive Committee has discussed the proposal which will be put before Congress.

He also remains hopeful that the suggestion will help unearth, expose and aid the development of players in the country.

Back in the 80’s and early 90’s, juveniles teams and reserve sides of premier league clubs played before the main matches kicked off.
