Herbert Addo believes fair officiating gives every club a level playing field in the Glo Premier League to compete.

The league before the weekend's matches saw five referees handed sanctions ranging from four-week lay-offs to a suspensions until the end of the first round for their decisions in previous games.

The Wassaman coach who saw his side lose their second game of the season after their 1-0 defeat to Mighty Jets last Saturday insists, no team will go to any ground with a prejudiced mindset if officiating continues to improve.

"We all expect the level to improve and once referees are doing well, we have the confidence playing the game. There might be mistakes but we can pardon some of them," Addo said after defeat at the Accra Sports Stadium.

"I think the review of their [referees] work would help improve the game. No team would go to any stadium in the country afraid because of officiating. Once there is a level playing field, every team can compete for the same three points."
