FA welcomes Hull working team

The Ghana Football Association welcomes a three-man team from its educational partners, the United Kingdom’s University of Hull for a working visit.

The University’s team of experts on Wednesday would be organizing training programmes for coaches and medical staff of the Football Association.

Sports medicine would feature prominently in the teams work schedule as the Ghana Football Association seeks to promote and enhance that aspect of the game.

The University of Hull team to be led by Matthew Hornshaw, the educational institution’s international officer for Africa and Mexico would also hold discussions with the FA President, Kwesi Nyantakyi and members of the Football Association on areas of further collaboration.

Matthew Hornshaw arrived in Accra on Tuesday with the rest of the University of Hull team expected in town on Friday.

It is well known that talent and dedication to training are no longer enough to achieve success in football. Good sports medicine practices has much to offer players and match officials, including improved performance and better health aimed at achieving success.

And the FA together with the University of Hull team are hopeful of achieving this targets.

The Ghana Football Association and the University of Hull have been in partnership since 2006.
