The GFA has set June 17 as the new date for the Football Association's Extra-Ordinary Session of Congress to elect its President.

Congress will also consider the Proposal for Amendments of Statutes of the GFA.

The Executive Committee took the decision today at its meeting after receiving the reports of the Dispute Resolution Committee following petitions filed by Vincent Sowah Odotei and Neil Armstrong-Mortagbe over their candidatures for election for the Presidency.

The Dispute Resolution Committee rejected the petitions of both persons leaving Kwesi Nyantakyi as the only candidate to contest for the election to the office of the President of the Ghana Football Association - 2011.

Both individuals filed separate notices with the Ex.Co, contesting the decision of the Elections Committee to disqualify their candidatures to contest for the office of the President.

In accordance with article 42.0 of the GFA Statutes, the Ex.Co referred the matter to the Dispute Resolution Committee and put off the previous date of April 28, 2011 for the election of President.
