The Ghana Football Association has made significant strides in the development of facilities as contractors today will hand-over a newly built multi-purpose dining and conference facility plus kitchen.

Funding for the new facility constructed on a 784sqm area at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram was sourced from the Fifa Goal III project.

The FA complemented the funding for the project which cost $425,000 and was constructed by Civicom Ghana Ltd, a local company with Pro-Ark Limited acting as Project Consultants.

The Ghana Football Association have been commended by FIFA for its prudent management and commitment to the realisation of targets would take-over the project at a ceremony today to be attended by FA Executives and Fifa Development Officer in Charge of West Africa, Sampon Kablan.

Through large Fifa financial support over the years, Ghana has been developing its technical centre in Prampram on a 100 acre land. The FA hopes to complete the masterplan to ease the huge financial commitments expended on the use of other facilities for national assignments.

The first phase of the technical centre at Prampram was built through Goal I Project whiles the money for Goal II Project was invested in the House of Football - the headquarters of the Ghana Football Association in Accra - and the Tema artificial pitch.

Fifa Goal Project is aimed at bridging the gap between the developed and advanced European countries and the under developed nations in Africa, Asia and South America to bring parity.
