The General Secretary of the Ghana Football Association, Kofi Nsiah and Executive Committee member, Fred Crentsil have both earned appointments onto the Local Organising Committee board for the African Cup of Nations.

The appointments of both personalities was made by the Ministry of Education, Science and Sports and signed by the deputy minister, Osei Bonsu Amoah.

By their appointment, the number of persons on the LOC Board chaired by Dr Kofi Amoah, a former FA member, increases to 15.

The duo join FA President, Kwesi Nyantakyi, who is already a member of the LOC to serve on the board as Ghana prepares to host the 2008 African Cup of Nations in four cities.
