The use of sachet water at the various match centres during league games has been banned by the Ghana Football Association.

According to the FA, the action takes immediate effect.

The decision to slap the ban according to the FA statement was due to the unscrupulous behavior of some fans who throw sachet water at match officials and opposing teams at the least provocation.

Clubs and their followers are expected to comply with the directive, the FA says.
