Ghana was duly represented at the official WAFU Zone B U-17 Championship draw in Yamoussoukro, Ivory Coast, with Eugene Noel Nobel, a member of the GFA Executive Council, in attendance.
Mr. Nobel, who is also Ghana’s representative with Police Ladies FC at the ongoing WAFU Zone B Women’s Champions League Qualifiers, seized the opportunity to participate in the U-17 draw on behalf of the Association.
The draw placed Ghana in Group A alongside Ivory Coast, Niger, and Togo, while Group B will feature three other nations. The competition, which serves as the qualifying tournament for the 2025 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations, will take place from September 20 to October 3, 2025, in Yamoussoukro.
His presence at both tournaments underscores the GFA’s commitment to ensuring Ghana’s active representation and involvement in all major West African football activities, both at youth and women’s levels.
