The GFA Executive has approved the Match Review Panel’s recommendation in respect of the Ghana Premier League match between Accra Hearts of Oak and Accra Great Olympics in Accra.

The Match Review Panel reviewed the video of the match to ascertain the performance of Referee William Agbovi in the said match played at the Accra Stadium.

The Committee critically examined the video clip to establish whether Accra Great Olympics should have awarded penalty kicks in the 37th and 52nd minutes of the game.

The Committee concluded that Referee William Agbovi was right in not awarding a penalty kick to Accra Great Olympics on both occasions and therefore recommends no sanction against him.

Consequently, the Committee’s recommendation not to sanction, Referee William Agbovi was upheld by the Executive Committee.
