Essien's scoring run continues

Michael Essien maintained his fine scoring run for Chelsea, finding target for the Blues in their 4-1 victory over MSK Zilina in the UEFA Champions League Group F opener in Slovakia.

The Ghanaian, who hit a brace in the domestic campaign on Saturday followed it up when he scored the opener for Chelsea on 13 minutes.

After dominating early proceedings, Essien put the Blues ahead when he converted Anleka's low cross from the left.

Frenchman, Nicolas Anelka scored twice as Daniel Sturridge netted the fourth for the English champions before Zilina pulled one back in the second half.
