The Eastern Regional Football Association (ERFA) has extended its heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Abubakar Braimah, Chairman of the Kwahu West Municipal Football Association, following his successful installation and coronation as the Municipal Wala Chief.

The colourful and dignified ceremony was held at the Methodist Park in Nkawkaw and drew a distinguished gathering of traditional rulers, government officials, football administrators and members of the Northern communities living within the Kwahu Traditional Area. The event was marked by rich cultural displays and a strong show of unity and tradition.

Leading the ERFA delegation was the Chairman of the Association, Mr. Linford Boadu Asamoah, accompanied by the Eastern RFA Event Organiser, Mr. Bob Tawiah Tagoe, and the Chairman of the Kwahu East District Football Association, Mr. Christian Ofosu Ansah.

In an official congratulatory message, Mr. Linford Boadu Asamoah described the coronation as a proud moment not only for Mr. Braimah and his people, but also for football administration in the Eastern Region.

“This honour bestowed on Mr. Abubakar Braimah is a testament to his integrity, leadership qualities and selfless service to both football and society,” the ERFA Chairman said. “His elevation as Municipal Wala Chief reflects the respect he commands beyond the football fraternity.”

Mr. Asamoah further praised Mr. Braimah’s longstanding contribution to football development in the region, noting that his leadership has helped shape and strengthen grassroots football administration.

“Over the years, Mr. Braimah has demonstrated unwavering commitment to the growth of football in the Eastern Region and Ghana as a whole. We are confident that the values he has upheld in football—discipline, unity and service—will equally guide him in his new traditional role,” he added.

Mr. Abubakar Braimah is widely regarded as one of the most experienced and dedicated football administrators in the Eastern Region. Over the past decade, he has served Ghana football in several key leadership capacities, including, Chairman, Eastern RFA Interim Management Committee (2012–2013), General Secretary, Eastern RFA (2013–2017), Vice Chairman, Eastern RFA (2019–2023) and Chairman, Kwahu West Municipal Football Association (current)

The ERFA Chairman expressed confidence that Mr. Braimah will continue to serve as a bridge between sports administration and traditional leadership.

“We are proud of him and assured that he will remain a strong ambassador for football, culture and development in the Kwahu Traditional Area and beyond,” Mr. Asamoah concluded.

The Eastern Regional Football Association once again congratulates Mr. Abubakar Braimah on his installation and wishes him wisdom, strength and success as he embarks on this new chapter of traditional leadership and service.
