Aduana Stars were denied the chance of claiming three points in the off season tourney, GHALCA Glo G8, as New Edubiase rallied from a goal down to draw 1-1 on Wednesday.

The former champions jumped into the lead after five minutes, with Godfred Saka scoring from the spot after Akwesi Addae Attakora had been fouled inside the box by Carlos Coffie.

However, Aduana failed to take advantage of their lead as the dismissal of their striker Daniel Gozah impacted greatly on them.

Edubiase, who had been pushing, finally got the equalizer from striker Emmanuel Baffoe with three minutes of play remaining.

In the other Group A match, Berekum Chelsea played out a 0-0 draw with Heart of Lions.

The result leaves Chelsea on top of the group with four points just like Aduana but with a better goal difference.

Edubiase and Lions are in third and fourth with a point apiece ahead of the final round of group matches on Saturday.
