Reports and Decisions for Match-day-24

Game:Chelsea Vs. Hearts Of Oak At Golden City Park, Berekum

One Azigiza, a notorious supporter of Chelsea FC, together with two unauthorised cameramen caused the kick off to be delayed by about 10 minutes when they refused to leave the inner perimeter for the match to begin.

ii. Whilst the officiating officials were returning to the dressing room during the recess supporters of Chelsea led by Azigiza threw satchets of water at them one of which hit the referee.

The PLB video cameraman who attempted to capture the incident was similarly peltered with satchets of water. Some of them even attempted to snatch the video camera from him. The Police however intervened to foil their plan.

At the end of the match the Police had to whisk the referees and the PLB video cameraman in their security van to the Municipal Police Headquarters to ensure their safety.

ACTION: i. Secretary to refer the misconduct of Chelsea supporters to Disciplinary Committee. A strong case should be made to the Disciplinary Committee to ban. Azigiza from attending any match organised by GFA at any Stadium in Ghana.

ii. Chelsea is fined Gh¢1,250.00 for preventing the video cameraman from discharging his duty [Art. 35.1 (c)]

Game: Aduana Stars Vs. Hasaacas At Nana Agyeman Badu II Park, Dormaa Ahenkro

The Head Coach of Hasaacas, Papa Cham was expelled from the technical bench for persistent insulting behaviour.

ACTION: Secretary to refer Papa Cham to the Disciplinary Committee.

Expulsion: The underlisted players were expelled from their respective matches for the offences indicated against their names:-

ACTION: Hasaacas and R.T.U are fined Gh¢250.00 each. In addition players John Annan and Yussif Aziz are suspended from playing four consecutive matches including the ones in which they were sent off the field. [Art. 39.6 (b)]

On the other hand Liberty Professionals is fined Gh¢125.00. In addition player Isaac Donkor is to be suspended from playing two consecutive matches including the match in which he was sent off the field of play. [Art. 39.6 (a)].

Match Statistics: A total of eighteen (18) goals was scored during the week. There were five home wins, one away win and two drawn games. Twenty-six (26) players were cautioned whilst three players were expelled.

Game: Hearts Of Oak Vs. Aduana Stars At Ohene Djan Sports Stadium, Accra

A supporter of Aduana Stars sprinkled concoction on the field of play before the kick off.

ACTION: Aduana Stars is fined Gh¢500.00 [Art. 35.3]

Game: Liberty Vs. Gt Olympics At Carl Reindorf Park, Dansoman

Supporters of Gt. Olympics charged on Assistant Referee II, SYLVESTER BONUEDI, and threw stones and other missiles at him for flagging to disallow a supposed goal scored by their team which held up play.

ACTION: Secretary to refer misconduct of Gt. Olympics to Disciplinary Committee [Art. 35.4].

Game: Arsenal Vs. Eleven Wise At Golden City Park, Berekum

There was clash of jerseys.

ACTION: It was noted that the decision to request Eleven Wise to use unregistered strip for the match was wrong. Secretary was to draw the Match Commissioner and the Referee’s attention to it and caution them.

Expulsion: Kessben player Otuo Acheampong (No. 30) was expelled in the match against AshantiGold for committing a second cautionable offence.

ACTION: Kessben is fined Gh¢125.00. In addition player Otuo Acheampong is suspended from playing two consecutive matches including the match in which he was sent off. [Art. 39.6 (a)].

Match Statistics: Fifteen goals were scored during the week. There were five home wins, two away wins and one drawn game. A total of twenty-eight players were cautioned whilst one payer was sent off the field.

Reports and Decisions for Match-day-26

Game:Eleven Wise Vs. Ashantigold At Sekondi Sports Stadium

During the pre-match meeting two supporters of Eleven Wise namely Alhaji Soja, Chairman of the Supporters Union and one Shaibu assaulted George Amoako, a Director of Ashantigold. They accused him of making unsavoury remarks about an advice the Security Coordinator gave to the referees to be fair and firm to make the work of the security easier.

During the recess and at the end of match supporters of Eleven Wise attacked the OMP crew which was telecasting the match live and succeeded in cutting some of the Company’s cables.

The PLB video Cameraman was similarly attacked. An attempt by some of the irate fans to snatch his camera was foiled when the Police threw security cordon around him and escorted him together with the officiating officials to the dressing room.

ACTION: Eleven Wise is fined Gh¢1,250 for preventing video coverage of the match [Art. 35.1.(c)].

ii. Secretary to refer Eleven Wise supporters misconduct to Disciplinary Committee. Estimates for replacement/repairs of the damaged cables should be sent to the Committee for further action.

Game: Chelsea Vs. Heart Of Lions At Golden City Park, Berekum

Immediately Chelsea scored its winning goal in the 77th minutes, two of its officials namely Justice Quarcoo, Goalkeeper’s Trainer and Fuseini Mohammed, Masseur, ran to the Heart of Lions goal post to sprinkle some concoction. The referee accordingly expelled them from the technical bench for unsporting behaviour.

ACTION: Chelsea is fined Gh¢500.00 [Art. 35.3].

Game: Aduana Stars Vs. King Faisal At Nana Agyemang Badu Ii Park, Dormaa Ahenkro

There was a scuffle between supporters of both clubs in the stands during the recess when some Aduana fans tried to drag some Faisal supporter out of the park allegedly carrying juju with them.

In the 77th minute Alhaji Karim Grunsa, Chairman of King Faisal and some of his officials invaded the field to attack referee Charles Dowuona. They accused him of allowing a ‘bad’ goal scored by Aduana Stars claiming that the ball did not cross the goal line. The incident held up play for almost two minutes.

At the end of the match Aduana Stars player Johnson Adoma (No. 2) hit one of the King Faisal players in the face causing him to fall flat on the ground. In the ensuing confusion King Faisal goalkeeper Ibrahim Iddrisu (No. 22) removed a corner flag post and started chasing one of the ball boys around the field. The action infuriated supporters of Aduana Stars who started throwing stones from all angles onto the field. An official of Aduana Stars was hit on the forehead by a big stone and had to be rushed to the hospital for medical attention. The windscreen of the Chairman of Aduana Stars car was also smashed.

ACTION: Secretary to refer the misconduct of supporters of both teams to Disciplinary Committee (Art. 35.4)

Expulsion: Heart of Lions player, Adjah Tetteh (No. 44) was expelled in the match against Chelsea for violent conduct.

ACTION: Chelsea is fined Gh¢250. In addition player Adjah Tetteh is suspended from playing four consecutive league matches including the match in which he was sent off the field [Art. 39.6 (b)].

Match Statistics:

There were four home wins, one away win and three drawn games. A total of 24 players was cautioned and one player sent off the field.
