A delegation from the Ghana Football Association has called on the King and elders of Akyem Abuakwa at Ofori Panin Fie at Kyebi.

The visit was to formally inform the overlord of Akyem Abuakwa of the impending Division One League Super Cup and also to seek his blessings for a successful tournament. The delegation also extended an invitation to the King for the opening ceremony on Tuesday, August 16, 2022.

The Ghana Football Association and the Local Organizing Committee was represented by Abu Brimah - Vice Chairman of the Eastern Regional Football Association, Jennifer Amankwa Sarpong – Regional Secretary and Executive Committee Member Yussif Rockson.

The GFA delegation was received by Osabarima Kwabrane Marfo - Abontendomhene of Kyebi.

The 2022 Division One League Super Cup is scheduled for the Kyebi Presbyterian Astro Turf from Tuesday, August 16 to Friday, August 26, 2022.

The competing clubs include Tamale City, Nsoatreman FC, Young Apostles FC, Samartex 1996, Ebusua Dwarfs, Kotoku Royals, Liberty Professionals and Tema Youth Sporting Club.
