The start date for the 2010/11 Glo Premier League season has been confirmed. The new campaign will get under way on Sunday, September 5 2010.

Following the withdrawal of a proposal that sought to expand the league from 16 to a 20-club competition, members of the Ghana Football Association today approved the Premier League Board's [PLB] programme for the new season at its Extra-Ordinary Congress.

With Aduana FC rocking the established order in the previous season as they went on to win the title on their debut season, the excitement is sure to be greater than ever ahead of the 2010/11 Glo Premier League season.

The competition will also welcome new entrants, Tudu Mighty Jets, Ebusua Dwarfs and BA Stars after the three sides secured promotion to the elite division.

The new season will also see the introduction of the Reserve League for the 16 premier league sides.

The Reserve League has been classified into two zones, the Northern and Southern Leagues.
