The Ghana Football Association has been ordered by an Accra High Court to proceed with the election for the position of Chairman of the Eastern Region Football Association.
The Court today dismissed an interlocutory injunction restraining the process from going ahead after an injunction was filed by S.C. Hikari and their supporters on Monday, September 12.
According to the Court, the election should go ahead in agreement with the GFA Statutes.
Following the Court's ruling, the Elections Committee of the Ghana Football Association will be fixing a date for the selection.
Incumbent, Lawal Abdul Ganiyu and Nana Kwadwo Budu II were to contest to represent the region on the GFA Executive Committee.
