An Accra High Court has today dismissed the interlocutory injunction filed by S.C. Hikari against the Eastern Region Football Association election for the position of Chairman to the Ghana Football Association Executive Committee.

The Court also quashed the injunction by the second division side restraining incumbent chairman, Lawal Abdul Ganiyu, from contesting the position of chairman.

Lawal and Nana Kwadwo Budu II were to contest to represent the region on the GFA Executive Committee.

The mandate of the Eastern Region Football Association was extended by the Executive Committee of the Ghana Football Association pending the outcome of the court ruling.
