The Football Association hereby formally notifies the general public, affiliated clubs, and all relevant stakeholders that the Club Licensing process for participation in the 2026/2027 CAF Interclub Competitions has officially commenced.
This process is being undertaken in strict adherence to the regulations and directives of the Confederation of African Football, which mandate that all clubs seeking to participate in CAF Interclub Competitions must obtain a valid Club License issued by their respective Member Association.
Accordingly, all prospective clubs are required to fully comply with the CAF Club Licensing Regulations, which encompass the following criteria:

Legal
Financial
Furthermore, it is emphasized that only stadiums duly approved by CAF in accordance with the CAF Stadium Regulations (2022 Edition) shall be eligible to host CAF competition matches. Clubs intending to utilize venues that do not currently meet the prescribed standards are required to immediately initiate the stadium homologation process in line with CAF procedures.
The GFA wishes to underscore that the Club Licensing process is mandatory and time-bound. All relevant documentation, inspections, and compliance requirements must be duly completed within the stipulated timelines, with final submissions to CAF expected on or before 30th June 2026.
Member clubs are hereby advised to engage proactively with the GFA Club Licensing Department to ensure strict compliance with all regulatory requirements. Failure to meet the prescribed criteria shall render any club ineligible to participate in the CAF Interclub Competitions.
The GFA counts on the full cooperation of all stakeholders in ensuring a smooth, transparent, and compliant licensing process.
