The pressure of coaches in the Glo Premier League to deliver good results has been demonstrated yet again, with four sides making changes to their bench just eight days into the start of the league.
Since the start of the league on October 9, the competition has recorded a resignation and a demotion while two others have been made to go on leave.
With some being out of job, others will continue to fear while the grip of some would be weakening.
Jonas Amissah is the latest casualty, demoted by Mighty Jets to their junior side after drawing one and losing another game in the league.
And his sudden departure from the premiership ranks follows those of Miloslav Bogdanovic, who resigned his post at Bechem United and Bashir Hayford and Orlando Wellington who have both been made to proceed on leave by Medeama SC and Berekum Chelsea respectively.
However three - Amissah, Hayford and Wellington - of the four have been shortlisted and are in the running for national jobs.
Hayford, who guided Medeama to second last season and was expected to push for the title this season was the first to be hit.
A day after the club's opening home loss to Wa All Stars, Hayford was asked to proceed on leave with the club insisting that he need time off to freshen up for the challenge ahead.
Though shocked, he maintained that he was fine but would have to abide by the club's decision.
"Let us leave it [decision] as it is. If they insist I am tired and that I need to go on leave, I would do as told," Hayford said after hearing about the club's decision.
Nothing seems to have changed at Medeama yet as they slumped to their second loss last Sunday.
Bogdanovic after two defeats with the premiership new-boys is no more in charge at Bechem with the club claiming that his departure is as a result of his frustration at the level of officiating in the competition.
Then to follow Bogdanovic was Orlando Wellington, who guided Chelsea to their debut title last season.
Wellington has remained in the background and very quiet since Englishman Steve Pollack returned to the Chelsea job.
And on Monday, his time at Chelsea was made more quieter as he was asked to take a one-month leave and it remains to be seen if he would return to the club though the champions insist he would be back.
“It’s unfortunate this news has come at this moment but I think that is what best suits the two parties,” Chelsea CEO Nana Kwame Nketiah said in a statement.
"After the end of the leave, we will be happy to work again,” the statement continued.
Who is next remains the big question as coaches dread the sack but are aware of the inevitable.
