Eight sides have secured their spots in the play-offs for places in next season's Glo Premier League with a further four yet to be confirmed, the Division One League Board has announced.
As the elite campaign prepares to end a long drawn season, eight clubs from the Division One League will strut it.
Beginning Sunday, May 15, clubs holding out hope of seeing their ambitious dreams of playing in the elite campaign would commence the play-offs in two zones for now.
The fixture schedule for the 2010/2011 Promotion League has been released for clubs in Zone I and II to begin the promotion campaign for three places in the more lucrative premiership league with the qualifiers from Zone 2A and 2B yet to be determined by the DOLB.
After completing their league campaigns as the best sides in their respective zones, the form of all the campaigners would be tested over an eight-day period. The winners after three rounds of matches from every group make it to the topflight league.
A premiership debutant would emerge from Zone I where Bechem FC will be making their third successive attempt at gaining promotion.
Placed in Zone I, Bechem, will face competition from Unity FC, Guan FC and Bazooka FC.
Only Tema Youth from the band of eight have tasted premiership soccer as they seek to return to the big stage from Zone III, two seasons after being relegated.
The Tema-based side are holed together with D'international, Tete Atenpong and King Solomon.
