Club Safety & Security Officers to be trained by CAF next week

Thirty Club Safety and Security Officers from the Premier League and some selected Division One Clubs shall participate in a CAF Safety and Security training on Monday August 30 and Tuesday August 31, 2021.

The training which will be organized together with participants from neighbouring country Nigeria, forms part of an intervention programme designed by CAF to improve the capacity at the Member Association levels.

Ghana was selected among the first 12 countries to benefit from the training which is organized by CAF in partnership with FIFA.

The trainees will be taken through some important topics relating to safety and security at sports venues in Africa including but not limited to challenges of safety and security in Africa, CAF Safety and Security Regulations (Introduction), Capacity Calculations, Stewarding, Accreditation and Ticketing.

The two day workshop shall have in attendance the head of CAF Safety and Security Department, Dr. Christian Emeruwa as well as other trainers from the Continent and FIFA.
