CHAN Qualifier: Black Stars ‘B’ XI vs Burkina Faso

Asante Kotoko’s Felix Annan will be in post for the Black Stars “B” team when they take on Burkina Faso at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The home based senior national team are hosting their Burkinabe counterparts in the first leg of their 2020 CHAN qualifiers.

Ghana will travel Burkina Faso for the return leg next month after the upcoming WAFU tournament in Senegal.

Hearts of Oak duo Fatau Mohammed and Mohammed Alhassan will all start this afternoon’s game in defense for the Black Stars B with Habib Mohamed and Ibrahim Moro also at central defense and left back respectively.

Pacy Kotoko winger Emmanuel Gyamfi has been named in the starting line up with Appiah Macarthy, Justice Blay and Augustine Okrah all in midfield.

Upfront, Joseph Essou will be partnered by Shafiu Mumuni for the all-important game which will kick off at 3:00pm.

Coach Maxwell Konadu’s side are expected to win the tie and advance to the tournament after missing out of the last two editions of the competition.

After Sunday’s match, Coach Konadu is expected to announce a final squad for the WAFU tournament which will be staged in Senegal later this month.
