Champion of Champions: Black Stars coach Otto Addo, backroom staff land in Tarkwa to watch epic final

Black Stars coach Otto Addo and two of his backroom staff have arrived in Tarkwa ahead of the Champion of Champions final between FC Samartex 1996 and Nsoatreman FC.

The Black Stars tactician is in the company of Assistant Coach John Painstil and Goalkeepers trainer Fatau Dauda.

The coaches are in Tarkwa to monitor  and assess players who will feature in the 2024 Champion of Champions at the brand  new TnA Stadium on Saturday evening.

The two teams qualified for the showpiece thanks to the historic successes of the two Premier League teams.

While FC Samartex 1996 clinched a historic Premier League title, their opponents crowned an impressive season by lifting their first ever MTN FA Cup crown.

The two exciting teams will go at each other at the state-of-the-art brand new TnA Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 18:00GMT (6pm local time) in what promises to be an electrifying clash between two of Ghana's elite clubs.

This game serves as the traditional curtain-raiser for the Ghanaian football season, pitting the Premier League champions, FC Samartex 1996, against the MTN FA Cup winners, Nsoatreman FC.

The match is expected to be intensely competitive as the finalists will be battling to gain momentum and bragging rights with a win in the mining town of Tarkwa on Saturday August 31, 2024.

The two teams shared the spoils in the 2023-24 Premier League season, where Nsoatreman FC won 1-0 at home and list 2-0 at the Nsenkyire Arena.

Both clubs are currently flying Ghana’s flag high in the CAF Champions League and the CAF Confederation Cup, making this encounter a perfect prelude to what promises to be an exciting season.

The TNA Park is expected to filled with fans to witness what will surely to be a thrilling contest between two of Ghana’s finest football clubs.
