Cape Coast is ready to host a world class tournament – LOC Member Robert Duncan

Chairman of the Central Regional Football Association Robert Duncan says Cape Coast is ready to host a magnificent WAFU U-17 Cup of Nations in June.

Robert Duncan who doubles as a Member of the Local Organizing Committee was speaking at the official launch of the tournament on Tuesday.

‘’This is another great opportunity for Central Region to showcase our rich culture and history to the world’’ he said.

‘’Central Region has been hosting a lot of national and international games which have been successful and it is not going to be any different this time as we all look ahead to a successful tournament this time again.

‘’All we need to do is to support the organizing committee which I am a member.

‘’We have been planning and working hard over the past few days and I can assure the people of Ghana that a lot is going on behind the scenes to stage a world class tournament.

‘’The Region is ready to support the organizers to make the tournament succeed. The Region is ready in terns of galvanizing and organizing support to make the tournament a success’’ he added.

The WAFU U-17 Cup of Nations is scheduled for the Cape Coast stadium from Saturday, June 11 to Friday, June 24, 2022.
