Asamoah Gyan is relishing the 2012 African Nations Cup challenge and says being tagged as favourites is good for the Black Stars.

Ghana, four-time champions, have been chasing a fifth title since last winning the tournament in 1982.

The Black Stars, who were losing finalists in the last competition have been tipped as one of the favourites to win the title with the competition set to go ahead without powerhouses like holders Egypt, Cameroon and Nigeria, who all failed to qualify.

Gyan admits that it will not be easy for the Black Stars but welcomes the pressure to deliver.

"It's been a while since we won it and we want to win it.

"Most of the big guys are out now -- I'm talking about Egypt, Cameroon, Nigeria -- so now people are looking up to us.

"It's good pressure for Ghana. We will go there and see what happens because the other countries will go there to win as well. It's not going to be easy but we will see if we can do that."

Ghana will face Botswana, Mali and Guinea in Group D of the competition in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.
