The Ghana Football Association has successfully completed the Confederation of African Football (CAF) License C Coaching Course for a fifth batch of Coaches.

Thirty coaches completed their CAF Licence C Coaching Course at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre in Prampram, following the introduction of the new CAF Coaching Convention.

The course included two modules, each lasting ten (10) days, and a mandatory 30-day internship with the participants' selected clubs, supervised by CAF Instructors, who led the entire course.

During the closing ceremony, GFA Executive Council member, Dr. Mrs. Gifty Oware Mensah emphasised the GFA’s ongoing commitment to supporting Coaches.

She highlighted the GFA’s commitment to enhancing the quality of Coaching in Ghana, making reference to the Association's funding of international coaching attachment programmes that saw five (5) coaches going to Holland and another two (2) going to Germany. This, among other interventions, reinforces the GFA's belief in the importance of Coaching.

She assured that the President of the GFA, Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku has positioned this initiative to have a continuing positive effect on Coaching in Ghana.

She further emphasized the general need for Coach education and echoed the Executive Council's promise to deliver more for especially Women Coaches.

The female representative on the Ghana Football Association’s Executive Council also spoke about the Association's resolve to deliver 900 Licence D Coaching slots for Colts clubs in the coming weeks.

Desmond Sakyi Ofei, the Director of Coach Education of the GFA, encouraged the newly certified coaches to be firm in their decision-making and implementation, expressing confidence in the future of Ghanaian football given the participants' demonstrated dedication and determination.

The GFA will continue to invest in Coach Education in line with its stated goal of restoring Ghana Football to a place of pride in African and World Football.
