Milovan Rajevac has made just one change to Ghana's African Cup of Nations squad as he drafts in Derek Boateng in place of the injured John Paintsil.

FA spokesperson, Randy Abbey confirmed the change to www.ghanafa.org on Wednesday after scans ruled out Paintsil from the Nations Cup following last Saturday's injury in a league game for Fulham.

The defender twisted his knee in Fulham's 1-2 defeat to Chelsea in the English Premiership, as initial tests suggests a six-week lay off.

However, Getafe's Boateng will join the rest of the squad who have been preparing in Nelspruit, in the north-eastern part of South Africa for the up-coming competition in Angola.

The Black Stars have been drawn in Group B of the CAN where they will face Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso and Togo in an all-West African battle.

The tournament begins on 10 January 2010 in Luanda and reaches it climax at the same venue on January 31.

Ghana to be based Cabinda will open its campaign against Togo a day after the opening match.
