Jonathan Mensah would miss Ghana’s game at the African Youth Championship on Sunday against Cameroon as Sellas Tetteh names his team for the opener.

The Free State Stars defender’s role in central defence is been filled by Philip Boampong.

Mensah misses the opener because his club delayed his release as he had to play in their Absa Premiership game on Saturday against Kaizer Chiefs.

Sellas Tetteh brings in Gladson Awaku to the central midfielder while Dominic Adiyah and Ransford Osei lead the attack.

In the first Group A game, hosts, Rwanda beat Mali 2-1.

Line up:

Daniel Adjei, Samuel Inkoom, David Addy, Philip Boampong, Daniel Addo, Gladson Awaku, Abeiku Quansah, Emmanuel Agyeman Badu, Dominic Adiyah, Ransford Osei and Andre Ayew.

Subs: Joseph Addo, Kassenu Ghandi, Godfred Rockson, Enoch Adu-Kofi, Latif Salifu, Isaac Donkor
