The Ghana Football Association has confirmed an international friendly fixture for the Black Stars against neighbours Togo on February 9.

According to the FA, the game would be played in the French city of Lens as the Black Stars hand new coach Goran Stevanovic his first major game in charge of the team.

The game would the Black Stars' first fixture of the New Year as they prepare for their next crucial 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Congo in March.

Ghana last played Togo in an international friendly on 16 August 2006 and it ended 2-0 in favour of the Black Stars.

Both sides were billed to meet at a competitive level at the last Nations Cup but a terrorist attack on the Togo team bus forced them to withdraw from the continental tournament.
