Black Stars squad numbers confirmed for 2026 FIFA World Cup

Lawrence Ati-Zigi will wear the number 1 jersey, Jordan Ayew keeps his favoured number 9 shirt, Brandon Thomas-Asante picks up the number 10, and Antoine Semenyo opts for the number 11 for Ghana at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

In the goalkeeping department, St Patrick’s Athletic’s Joseph Anang will wear number 12, with Hearts of Oak’s Benjamin Asare taking number 16.

Cyprus-based defender Derrick Luckassen, called up as a replacement for the injured Alexander Djiku, will wear number 23. Captain Jordan Ayew maintains the number 9 shirt, while Thomas Partey sticks to his traditional number 5. Gideon Mensah, Kwasi Sibo, Caleb Yirenkyi and Baba Abdul Rahman will wear 14, 8, 3 and 17 respectively.

Ghana will play their opening Group L match against Panama on June 17 in Toronto, before facing England in Boston on June 23 and Croatia in Philadelphia on June 27.
