Black Stars move up to 15th in rankings

Ghana have moved up one step in the April edition of the Fifa/Coca-Cola World ranking released on Wednesday.

The Black Stars are now ranked 15th after a win over Congo in a 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier and a 1-1 with England in a friendly late last month.

The four-time African champions are still Africa's number one ranked team with 918 points.

Ivory Coast still stay second with Egypt in third in the continental ranking.

According to Fifa, a total of 124 international matches since the last edition of the ratings were taken into account for the April edition of the world rankings.

World champions, Spain still leads the the overall standing followed by the Netherlands.
