The Black Stars will train today in Reykjavik for their international friendly game against Iceland scheduled for Thursday June 7.

The senior national team travelled from Japan where they defeated World Cup-bound Blue Sumarai 2-0 with goals from Thomas Teye Partey and Emmanuel Boateng.

Coach Kwesi Appiah then travelled to Iceland where they will face another World Cup-cup who will also use the game as part of preparations for the mundial which will begin next weekend.

Iceland are in the same group which African side Nigeria, Argentina and Croatia and the game will help them test themselves against another side from the continent.

For the Black Stars, this game will help Coach Kwesi Appiah to assess some players who are gunning for places in the team as well as serve as a test game for Ghana ahead of the upcoming AFCON qualifying games.

The team will wrap up preparations for the game this evening for the match which will be played at the Laugardalsvöllur at 8:00pm.
