Black Stars Assistant Goalkeepers Coach Abdul Fatawu Dauda has successfully completed his UEFA Licence B course with the Football Association of Wales, adding another major qualification to his growing coaching résumé.

The former Ghana international goalkeeper undertook weeks of intensive coursework, practical sessions, and assessments in Wales, earning the prestigious European coaching license through hard work and persistence.

Fatawu Dauda’s new qualification complements the CAF Licence B he previously earned in Ghana, further strengthening his credentials as he transitions from an accomplished playing career to elite-level coaching.

During a two-decade professional career, Dauda featured for several top clubs in Ghana and abroad. He began at Ho Voradep and Okwahu United before making his name with AshantiGold SC and Legon Cities. His career also included stints in South Africa with Orlando Pirates and Chippa United, as well as a spell at Nigerian giants Enyimba FC.

He earned 25 caps for the Black Stars and represented Ghana at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

Dauda currently heads the goalkeeping department at the Right to Dream Academy in Ghana, where he is shaping the next generation of African goalkeepers using international standards and modern training methodology.

He is presently with the Black Stars in the United States as part of the technical team for the ongoing 2026 FIFA World Cup, co-hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the United States.

The Ghana Football Association congratulates Fatawu Dauda on this achievement and his continued commitment to personal development and Ghanaian football.
