On July 3, 2010, African Legend Nelson Mandela welcomed Ghana's Black Stars, the most successful African side at the 2010 World Cup to his home.

Players of the Black Stars, technical team and officials from the Ghana Football Association visited the former South African President’s Johannesburg home in Houghton.
