The Black Starlets held their recovery training session on Sunday following their impressive 2-0 victory over Morocco’s U17 side in the first of two international friendly matches in Rabat.
The team held session on with the technical team focusing on helping the players recover from the exertions of Saturday’s encounter.
The session formed part of the team’s preparations for the second friendly against their Moroccan counterparts, with Coach Kassim Mingle expected to gradually step up the intensity of training as the team builds towards the next game.
Mingle’s side produced a strong performance in the opening friendly, with Hope Agbasi opening the scoring before Alidu Issah converted from the penalty spot to secure the 2-0 victory.
The technical team will use the remaining training sessions to work on the team’s strengths and address areas that need improvement before the second encounter.
The Black Starlets will face Morocco’s U17 side again on Wednesday as they continue their preparations for the WAFU Zone B U17 Championship which will also serve as the qualifying tournament for the 2027 U17 Africa Cup of Nations.
