The Black Starlets have stepped up preparations for their second international friendly against Ivory Coast’s Young Elephants after holding a recovery training session in Abidjan.

The session comes in the aftermath of their first encounter at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium, where the team delivered an encouraging performance despite falling short on the scoreline.

The technical team used the recovery period to help players regain fitness while also beginning tactical adjustments ahead of Thursday’s rematch.

The light session focused on stretching, mobility work and controlled ball exercises, ensuring players recovered from the physical demands of the previous game while staying sharp. Particular attention was given to injured players, with the medical team closely monitoring their progress ahead of the next fixture.

Coaches also held brief tactical discussions with the squad, emphasizing improved efficiency in front of goal after the team created several chances but failed to convert in the first match.

The Black Starlets are expected to return to full training intensity on Wednesday as they fine-tune their approach for the second game, which presents another valuable opportunity to assess the squad ahead of the U-17 Africa Cup of Nations.

The team is determined to respond strongly and deliver a more clinical performance when they face the Young Elephants again on Thursday.
