Black Satellites beat Mali to win bronze

Ghana have beaten Mali 3:1 to win bronze at the African Under 20 Champonship in Dakar, Senegal.

Striker Yaw Yeboah scored a brace and Clifford Aboagye sealed the victory to end the Satellites' campaign on a high.

Yaw Yeboah opened the scoring for Ghana in the 24th minute after tapping in the rebound of a terrific drive by Clifford Aboagye and doubled the lead after the recess.

Clifford Aboagye gave Ghana a comfortable lead in the 71st but the Malians reduced the deficit in the 85th minute through Malick Toure.

The Malians launched a late surge for an audacious comeback and were awarded a

Penalty in the 88th minute. But goalkeeper Baah saved it and the Malians slot in the rebound but it was ruled offside.

Ghana held on till the end for a sweet revenge against the Malians after they beat the Satellites 1:0 in the group stage.

Both Ghana and Mali have qualified for the Fifa Under 20 World Cup in New Zealand alongside finalists, Senegal and Nigeria.
