The Black Queens will begin their quest to qualify to the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games when they take on Gabon on Wednesday August 28.

The first leg tie will be played away in Libreville with the return scheduled for Tuesday September 3 at the Cape Coast Stadium.

Coach Mercy Tagoe’s side have been in camp since August 7 preparing for the double header tie.

The senior female national team would be hoping to make it to the next stage of the qualifiers and make their maiden appearance at the Olympic Games.

CAF has 1.5 out of the 12 available slots at the Olympic Games thus the winner of the qualifiers gets one slot whiles the runner up faces the runner up of the Copa America Femenina.

The Black Queens are expected to depart to Gabon early next week for their qualifying match.
