Black Queens set to face Egypt in crucial WAFCON 2026 Qualifier

Ghana’s senior women’s national team, the Black Queens, are gearing up for a crucial two-legged encounter against Egypt in the 2026 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations (WAFCON) qualifiers later this month.

The first leg is scheduled for Thursday, October 23, 2025, at the Ismailia–Suez Canal Stadium in Suez, Egypt, with kickoff at 4:00 PM (local time). The return fixture will take place five days later on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at the Accra Sports Stadium, kicking off at 3:30 PM.

Coach Kim Björkegren’s side will be looking to continue their fine run of form and secure early qualification to the continental showpiece.

The Queens, who have shown remarkable improvement in recent months, are determined to maintain their dominance and return to the WAFCON stage with renewed confidence.
