Black Queens outclass Les Pantherés in a 3-0 away win

The Black Queens have made their second leg tie against Gabon an easier task after winning the first leg tie away in Libreville on Wednesday afternoon.

A 3-0 mauling of Gabon's Women National team, Les Pantherés today by the Black Queens at the stade Augustin Monédon, Libreville has  paved the way for Ghana’s in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics Women’s Qualifiers.

Elizabeth Owusua scored the opener for Ghana in 41st minute of the first half with a curling shot from outside the penalty box.

The second half saw Portia Boakye adding the second goal in the 62nd minute before an 86th minute goal from Priscilla Okyere sealed the crucial away victory for Ghana.

All efforts by Les Pantherés to get a goal at home before the final whistle proved futile .

The Black Queens had their moral boosted ahead of the game as Ghana’s consular in Gabon Madame Mandy Southot visited the team before they departed to the stadium.

The Accra Sports Stadium will host the return encounter on the 3rd September.
