The Black Queens proudly ascended the podium at the 2024 TotalEnergies Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) to receive their bronze medals, capping off a spirited and inspiring campaign.

The country's national women’s team clinched third place after a hard-fought victory over defending champions South Africa in the tournament's third-place playoff. The triumph symbolized  their return to the WAFCON podium and reaffirming their status as a force in African women’s football.
